The Marist baseball team once again faced rival Canisius College in another MAAC matchup on Sunday. The Red Foxes would unfortunately fall to the Golden Griffins, with the game ending in a final score of 8-6.

In the last at bat for Marist, with runners on first and second base, senior Frankie Gregoire grounded out to second base and clinched the game for Albany. The unfortunate day for the Foxes ended the way it began, by leaving runners stranded on base.
“My goal, when I entered the coaching profession, was to break the barrier and be the first coach of Indian descent,” Bhatia said. “And now that I have done that, my continued goal is to be the first Division I collegiate head coach of Indian descent.”
After coming up short of a championship last year and finishing in fourth place in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), the Marist Baseball Team is reloaded and primed for the upcoming 2019 season.
This fall, the Marist Red Foxes have introduced their new Club Baseball Team, giving students who hope to continue their baseball careers a chance to keep playing the game they love.
The Marist College Club ski Team will be coached this year by a Marist College Class of 2018 alumnus, Joe Kopp. Previously, he was the captain of the team in his final two years of racing.
