Jess and Lily are joined by Mike Cahill to talk about which baseball stats are really important, Marist baseball’s somewhat rocky start, and what they needed to do to make a strong playoff run, on this episode of Center Field’s Hypothetically.
Saturday afternoon the Marist Red Foxes took care of business in the first game of their double header against conference foe Niagara University. After both contests, they now have won three of their last four games late into the season and sit in fifth place in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).
In the last at bat for Marist, with runners on first and second base, senior Frankie Gregoire grounded out to second base and clinched the game for Albany. The unfortunate day for the Foxes ended the way it began, by leaving runners stranded on base.
