Marist Football opens up their season playing at Georgetown next weekend. Coach Parady and the players alike have high hopes for Marist’s place in the PFL, and the team skill and chemistry going into the season. Marist vs. Georgetown kicks off Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
Similar to hundreds of other top football players being selected, or signing undrafted free agent deals this week, the NFL Draft is the culmination of years of training and preparation to get to this moment. But for the majority of the players being selected, they are coming out of bigger programs where getting a chance at the next level is almost an expectation.
After trailing Davidson 27-17 at the half, the Marist Red Foxes were able to force overtime and finally defeat Davidson 48-41.
Marist hosted the Georgetown Hoyas for their season opener on Saturday. Marist quickly fell behind and went into the locker room trailing Georgetown 11-0 at the half. Despite a small comeback in the second half, Marist fell to Georgetown with the final score of 39-14.
