Marist completed the sweep of I-87 rival Siena with a 60-44 win on Sunday afternoon. The victory was the sixth straight for the Red Foxes and put them three wins ahead of second-place Quinnipiac in the race for the one-seed in the MAAC Tournament.
Marist powered its way to a 69-44 win over a depleted Siena team on Saturday afternoon at the UHY Center just outside of Albany. The victory was the Red Foxes’ fifth in a row and their seventh consecutive triumph over the Saints.
The Red Foxes enter a two-game series against the 2-3 Siena Saints this weekend.
For the second consecutive game, Rider made life very difficult on Marist, but the Red Foxes pulled away late for a 70-57 victory.
Not getting to see Marist and Rider face off for a third time last season was one of the biggest disappointments of their premature ending. Though the teams both look much different, the intensity remained the same as the Red Foxes eked out a 47-46 victory over the Broncs on Sunday afternoon in McCann.

Marist earned its 10th victory of the season and completed the sweep of Niagara after dispatching the Purple Eagles 67-45 at the Gallagher Center just outside of Buffalo.
After losing a heartbreaker to Fairfield last Saturday, Marist hung on for dear life but managed to escape on the right side of a 66-60 overtime thriller at Niagara. The win was Marist’s 12th straight at the Gallagher Center.
