Marist saw their chances of sweeping Fairfield end in heartbreak, blowing a large lead and dropping a 61-58 thriller to the Stags at Alumni Hall on Saturday night.
Marist used a mix of timely offense and smothering defense to hand Fairfield a 56-38 defeat on Friday evening at Alumni Hall. With the win, the Red Foxes move into first place in the MAAC.
For the second consecutive evening, Marist gritted and ground their way to a close victory over Manhattan, defeating the Jaspers 50-46 on Sunday inside the McCann Center.
Marist dropped a 59-55 overtime thriller at Quinnipiac on Monday afternoon. The loss broke a 17-game overall winning streak, a 15-game MAAC winning streak, and foiled the Red Foxes’ intentions of moving to 6-0, which would have been their best start in program history.
