POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — Senior wide receiver Juston Christian, red-shirt senior linebacker Willie Barrett, and red-shirt senior cornerback Brandon Miller of the Marist Football Team were named to the First Team All-Pioneer Football on Tuesday. Red-shirt senior defensive Enmanuel Soriano also earned Second Team honors.
This year marks Christian’s third consecutive selection to the First Team All-PFL, following his Second Team All-PFL naming in 2015. Christian joins Phede Celestin (2011-13) as the second player to be a three-time First Team All-PFL selection in the program’s history.
Christian is recognized for his impressive 2018 season, setting the single-season program record with 15 touchdown receptions. He also became the first Red Fox to record two 1,000-yard seasons, finishing at 1,155 this year. At the close of the season, Christian ended his college career as the first PFL wide receiver to surpass 4,000 career receiving yards, with a total of 4,069 career yards. He is only the 17th wide receiver in FCS history to exceed the milestone.
Barrett also joins Christian in All-PFL honors for his second year in a row, while also earning Second Team All-PFL for his 2016 season. Barrett ranked second on the team in 2018 for interceptions (three) and tackles (69). This is Miller’s first All-PFL selection, reflecting his team leading four interceptions this season, all of which led to victories for the Red Foxes. Soriano led the team in tackles (75), tackles for loss (eight), and sacks (four-and-a-half).
In addition, 10 other Red Foxes received Honorable Mentions:
