Center Stage: The Week’s Top Performers

Men’s Soccer: Junior defender Huib Achterkamp kept Marist in Wednesday’s game against first place Saint Peter’s scoring two goals. He helped the team with a major comeback to tie to the game prior to overtime.

Football: Redshirt freshman running back Hunter Cobb broke a few season records on Saturday’s game against Davidson. Cobb had 187 yards, more than any other Marist running back this season. It was also more yards than Marist has had as a team all season.

Women’s Soccer: Sophomore midfielder Abby Murphy scored the game tying penalty kick. She then went on to score the game winning goal for Marist in double overtime during their match against Manhattan College on Saturday.

Volleyball: Freshman middle blocker Gabby Murray set this season’s high in kills and points, with 16 kills and 20.5 points, on Sunday’s game against St. Peter’s.
