Center Stage: The Week’s Top Performers

Women’s Basketball: Redshirt senior Alana Gilmer absolutely stuffed the stat sheet on Saturday night in the team’s 82-57 drubbing of Niagara. She scored 23 points on 65% shooting to go along with nine rebounds and two steals.

Men’s Track: He did it again. Jeremy Mooney broke another school record — for the second week in a row — this time in the 60-meter race with a time of 7.12 seconds. That time topped Jesse Aprile’s 7.13-time from 2012.

Water Polo: Senior Carolyn Gauvin didn’t break a school record, but personal records work quite nicely as well! She netted a career-high five goals in the team’s 16-12 loss at the hands of 23rd-ranked Bucknell. She’s the first Red Fox to score five goals in a game since Grace Doerfler did it last year.

Water Polo: Another one. Marina Hyham was named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week last week after she recorded 19 saves against three ranked opponents. She’s the second Red Fox to nab a weekly MAAC honor this season, and the team’s first defensive weekly award since teammate Carsen Horvatich did it in 2019.
