On January 20, the MAAC Council of Presidents have approved schedules for soccer, volleyball, water polo, baseball, softball and lacrosse to be able to play in the spring.
MAAC Commissioner Rich Ensor said in the report, “The MAAC is excited to have spring schedules for soccer, volleyball, water polo, baseball, softball, and lacrosse finalized…The MAAC membership is excited to move forward with this opportunity for all of our student-athletes and hope to have a great spring season of competition.”
Men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s tennis, water polo, swimming and diving and rowing have a preliminary start date for competition on March 6 and volleyball following on March 7. Women’s soccer will start March 9 with the men trailing behind them on March 11. Baseball and softball are scheduled to start March 20.
Cross Country is set to commence before March 6 as the NCAA Championship deadline for the sport being on March 5. They’re likely to be off to the races by February 1.
Dates for championship tournaments have also been listed. For most sports, their championships will take place from May 6-9.
MAAC teams are expected to begin releasing their spring schedules over the upcoming days.
