After receiving a rookie minicamp invite this spring, former Marist tight end Connor Hulstein signed with the New York Jets on Wednesday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The signing will give Hulstein a chance to continue competing for a roster spot as the regular season approaches, especially with Jets tight end and 2026 first round pick Kenyon Sadiq dealing with an injury.
In his lone season at Marist after transferring from Princeton, Hulstein led FCS tight ends in receiving yards and set the program’s single-season records for a Marist tight end in receiving yards (599), receiving touchdowns (7) and yards per reception (14.3). He also earned Second-Team All American honors from the Associated Press and Third Team All-American honors from the Pro Football Network.
At 6-foot-5, Hulstein offers plenty of size and experience as both a pass-catching target and blocker.
