In a 19-3 win over Manhattan College, Morgan Jaycox, Lauren Mazza and Samantha Mehalick dominated on offense to show that they are the “Big Three” of the Marist Women’s Lacrosse program.
Army West Point will travel to Poughkeepsie for their only meetings with the Red Foxes this season. The Red Foxes and the Black Knights have yet to face any of the same teams for the 2018 season, yet both have been struggling against larger opponents.
The 2017-2018 basketball season signaled a big step onto the national stage for Marist and it’s athletic department. The school, along with all of their Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference counterparts, began broadcasting all basketball games on ESPN3.

The football team has a field, the basketball teams have a court, but the track team has to trek to Vassar College to practice during the spring season. The athletic department has not given any direct explanations to the program as to why this is the case.
Overall, Marist finished the year with a 20-14 record, finishing second in the MAAC standings and runner-up in the MAAC tournament.
The top seeded Quinnipiac Bobcats defeated the second-seeded Marist Red Foxes in the MAAC Women’s Basketball Championship game by a final score of 67-58 this afternoon. Marist’s record following the defeat is 20-13 overall, and while they lost today, their season will continue, as they earned a WNIT berth by being a conference finalist.
The Marist women’s basketball team defeated the third-seeded Siena Saints on Sunday in the semi-final round of the MAAC tournament by a score of 67-51. The Red Foxes move on to the MAAC finals in Albany where they will take on the number-one seeded Quinnipiac.
Fitzpatrick not only leads the league in minutes played, she also led Marist in steals with 36, and played a key role in the team’s number one field goal percentage at 37.1-percent.
