Center Stage: The Week’s Top Performers

Men’s Soccer: Senior captain Michael Lorello scored Marist only goal, which one them the game against St. Joseph’s. The senior is playing as a midfielder this year for the first time, instead of in his usual defensive position. This was his fourth career goal. 

Football: Senior receiver Anthony Olivencia had two touchdowns during Saturday’s game against Stetson. The first off of a 49-yard pass in the first half. The second off a 75-yard pass during the second half, winning Marist the game. 

Redshirt freshman Luke Paladino kicked a 49-yard long field goal. It’s tied with Jason Meyer’s for the longest field goal in the program’s history. It’s what got Marist on the board with the first five points of the game. 

Senior safety Jack Griffith had a good play at the end of the first half. He deflected a third-down pass, then went for Stetson’s quarterback, sacking him at the 45-yard line.
