On a warm Thursday night, Marist faced off against MAAC foe Canisius in the semifinal Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) tournament game in front of a ruckus crowd of students and parents. Marist ultimately took the victory with a close score of 11-10.
On a cool Tuesday afternoon, Marist defeated the St. Bonaventure Bonnies at Tenney Stadium. A well balanced attack led the Red Foxes to an 11-5 senior day victory.
After a game full of exciting moments for the Red Foxes, but also costly mistakes, Coach Wilkinson emphasized there are no moral victories for his team.
The No. 34 has long been a very important number to the Marist men’s lacrosse team and the coaching staff. The team has a tradition each year to honor No. 34, once donned by former player Edward Coombs, who died in a car crash years ago.
