Marist Baseball’s Frankie Gregoire has been a focal point of the Red Foxes’ recent success throughout his four years in Poughkeepsie. But just how does the senior continue to show why he’s one of Marist’s elite hitters? Frankie’s answer just might be, “MLB The Show.”
A postgame write up never said, “Alex Marinelli was up at midnight catching for the Marist pitchers before their shutout,” or “The win came from Alex Marinelli helping a pitcher talk through a bad start last night,” but that’s fine with Alex. He came to terms with his unsung hero role, knowing the positive impact he was having on the team.
“My goals are team-oriented,” Randy said. “If my batting average is something that I don’t like, I’m going to press myself and want to get a hit, instead of me focusing on getting on base for the team. I think when you look at stats, for me, you get self-centered.”

Saturday afternoon the Marist Red Foxes took care of business in the first game of their double header against conference foe Niagara University. After both contests, they now have won three of their last four games late into the season and sit in fifth place in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).
